Refund policy

This policy explains how refunds are handled for tickets purchased for events organized by The Scene. It supplements our Terms and Conditions and applies to all tickets sold via thescene.ro or official Stripe links generated by Mozaik Social S.R.L.

1. Purpose of this policy
The aim of this document is to clarify the rules around refunding amounts paid for event tickets. It applies uniformly across all ticketed events unless otherwise specified on the event’s dedicated page.

2. No statutory right of withdrawal
According to Article 16 letter l of Romanian Government Ordinance 34/2014, tickets for leisure activities scheduled on a specific date or during a specific period are exempt from the 14-day legal right of withdrawal. However, The Scene offers a voluntary commercial refund policy, outlined below.

3. Refunds before the event
For most events, a full refund may be requested up to five (5) calendar days before the event date. Specific conditions or deadlines may apply to special events, and these are clearly stated on each event’s page. Where different terms are listed, those take precedence over this general rule.
To request a refund, email ramona@thescene.ro with your full name, the email address used for purchase, and your ticket code. Requests submitted after the deadline are not eligible for refunds.

4. Refund method and timeline
Refunds are issued exclusively to the original payment method used at checkout. The amount will be credited back to your account within a maximum of fourteen (14) calendar days from confirmation of eligibility. Any bank or Stripe processing fees that cannot be recovered under Stripe’s terms will not be refunded.

5. Ticket transfers
Tickets can be transferred to another active member of The Scene up to the refund deadline. Transfers must follow the official procedure provided by the organizer. Tickets sold or passed on outside of this system may be canceled without compensation.

6. Event cancellation or rescheduling by the organizer
If an event is canceled by The Scene for reasons unrelated to force majeure, all tickets will be fully refunded automatically to the original payment account. If the event is rescheduled, the ticket remains valid for the new date; however, ticket holders may request a full refund within seven (7) calendar days of receiving the rescheduling notice.

7. Force majeure
In cases of force majeure (such as pandemics, extreme weather, legal restrictions, or unforeseen events that prevent the event from taking place), The Scene will offer either a full refund or a voucher of equivalent value, at its discretion. No additional compensation will be provided.

8. Refund exceptions
Stripe processing fees that are non-refundable under Stripe’s terms will not be returned. Tickets canceled after the refund deadline or those purchased via unauthorized resale platforms are not eligible for reimbursement.
